Calc is a powerful spreadsheet program similar to Microsoft Excel, with a roughly equivalent range of features. OpenOffice Calc is the spreadsheet program you've always wanted. Newcomers find it intuitive and easy to learn; professional data miners and number crunchers will appreciate the comprehensive range of advanced functions.

Some features:

  • advanced DataPilot technology to pull in raw data from corporate databases
  • possibility to cross-tabulate, summarise, and convert it into meaningful information
  • creating formulas using words (e.g. 'sales - costs')
  • the Intelligent Sum Button inserts a sum function or a subtotal automatically, depending on context
  • range of templates from Extensions repository for ready-made spreadsheet solutions.
  • flexible cell formatting options, including freely rotating contents, templates, backgrounds, borders, and many more.
  • Scenario Manager allows 'what if ...' analysis at the touch of a button - e.g. compare profitability for high / medium / low sales forecasts.

Save your spreadsheets in OpenDocument format, the new international standard for office documents. And you are free to use your old Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, or save your work in Excel format or use Portable Document Format (.pdf). Since version 3.0, CALC has been able to read .xlsx files created with Microsoft Office 2007 or Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X.

Use OpenOffice Calc online on rollApp on a wide range of devices: iPad and Android tablets, laptops. Save your docs on Dropbox, Google Drive, and other cloud storage, so you can get to them at any place and time.

I learned about this just in time. I'm traveling with just a Chromebook, and needed to get some client history out of openoffice. I have it on dropbox, but had no way to open. My husband just happened to mention your software, and half an hour later I've sent an estimate to my client from a farmhouse in rural France.

OpenOffice Calc works well on my Apple desktop Safari and iPad with my business spreadsheet; very impressed as people in my office can now easily share the main data on the web. The only problem is that it cannot find my Apple mail program so I can select cells and send as PDF attachment or as fax via Jfax. Well worth the $7/month I hope.

Have been using this program for about 1 yr or so now, I am a big fan of the open office software. This is nice because I can access from anywhere and if my computer crashes (which it always ends up doing every so often) none my data is lost. There have been just a few gliches with slow connectivity, and "no storage found" errors- however, they are easy to get around, so compared with the benefits of this program I still give it 5 stars.

Works fine. Leaves lock files on Google drive that cannot be deleted which cause a lot of clutter.

I originally gave this 5 stars, but the connection to Box and DropBox is not working, and this keeps me from actually doing any work with the app... Must be able to get the file out after editing for this to be of any real use... Great Idea though!

Great Job !! I 'm one of the fans of OpenOffice/Libre office, majority of the feature and manual of this apps are totally same as my desktop LibreOffice, but this version is connection speed depending. I prefer installation version if available. Anyway, this is a good starting point. I am looking forward to the apps for iPad.

It am a IT director and i need a office solution for the ipad that can be accessed over the cell connection on my ipad. The office software must be able to work with cell validation and conditional formating of cells. I have worked with other apps and i hope this app is the answer i need. please accept me to the beta team as soon as you can. Thank you . ps also to add to anyone thinking about onlive as an option its limited in that you can only access it over a cell conection for 10 min.
